The Untold Benefit of Copywriting That Can Change Your Life Forever
Hey there!
What if I told you that there are more benefits to copywriting than you are told…
Because there are the ones that have been repeated millions of times:
· Persuasive Writing
· Audience Understanding
· Clarity and Brevity
· SEO Knowledge
· Emotional Appeal
· Attention to Detail
· Creative Thinking
· Call-to-Action Mastery
Hold on. There’s more…
· Research Skills
· Branding and Tone
· Problem-Solving
· Marketing Fundamentals
And…
· Adaptability
But these are just the surface level skills that you develop when you pursue copywriting.
What you are not told about is the psychological aspect. Of what happens to your mind when you become one with the copy.
This is an over-looked trait that naturally improves your life and well-being.
Which I stumbled upon quite recently just by pure accident. And this accident is slowly turning me into a more balanced, understanding human being.
It all began in the late 2023 December when I decided to become a copywriter.
Day-by-day I worked on my skills, studied the greats, absorbed all written and audio materials that can be found about copywriting. (And there is a lot.)
Soon I also began working with my first clients and developed partnerships which opened the gates of freelance copywriting world.
The more I worked on gigs and applied my skills, the more I understood the complex art of copywriting.
I started seeing copy everywhere. On the street, in the bus, and anywhere else around us.
There were times when the whole external world became a one big copywriting analysis playground.
Everything around me made me think about:
What is the goal of this copy?
What emotions does it trigger?
How does it impact me?
Are there other angles that could be used to promote this product/service?
Question after question I began developing a magical unity with copywriting.
With the knowledge of marketing and persuasion I learned skills that will never allow me to see the outside world the same as before.
It was changed forever.
Until the unexpected happened…
One night my sleep was interrupted by an avalanche of dreams. But these we not regular dreams. They were about copywriting.
That was the moment when I realized that copywriting has taken over not only my external world…
But also, the internal world.
From that night I started applying copywriting principles to my daily life.
And that is a hidden gem that any copywriter can benefit from.
Use the knowledge that you have accumulated about human nature to advance your life to the next level.
Next time when you interact with a person, you start to notice their pains that they avoid, or desires that they chase. Which allows you to develop empathy.
When you go through tough times you apply the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to find the triggers for your pain:
Plus, you use the same pyramid to navigate your values. Which in essence helps you achieve more by developing deeper bonds with your future goals.
To avoid procrastination, you seek help in the copywriting principles, and apply scarcity, create deadlines, or make an offer that you can’t resist.
And these are just a few that I have recently discovered. I’m sure there are many more.
What you really do is, you become a copywriting Guinea Pig.
Is there a better way how to learn copywriting? I don’t think so.
If these principles work on your clients on an unconscious level, what makes you think that it will not work on you? (Unless you’re a bot, then sorry, this is not for you.)
If you are a person who tries to become 1% better than you were yesterday, then this technique is worth a try.
Just imagine how you can use copywriting for not only improving you financial and professional life, but also the one that sits between your ears.
To summarize what I just said:
The complex art of copywriting can be used not only to create changes in the outside world but also to develop a deeper connection with yourself and the people around you. By being aware of your thoughts, navigating your emotions, and observing them from a marketer’s perspective, you can create your own “marketing campaign,” which helps you build a more successful version of yourself.
As we are on this planet to create our own journey, why not see how far are we capable of going?
Thank you for reading this blog. I will love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
Never Stop Trying
