Multi-Millionaire’s Advice on How to Never Fail with Your Business Goals Again!

The key to a successful business is not a great product.

And it’s not attention-grabbing marketing.

Or even a persuasive copy.

All the above doesn’t work if your business does not have a plan.

And if you want to develop a working business, it’s important to stop freestyling and instead start planning.

That’s what CEO of a Multi-Million-Dollar Marketing Agency said about it.

And if you ever want to get to that level, you better turn planning as a habit.

Luckily for you, recently the CEO gave a speech at a business seminar, where he got more in-depth with it.

And he provided a blueprint, on how to plan your way to success!

STEP 0: Collect Data

There are two types of businesses, the ones who keep growing because they track data of their ads/funnels/content/product/etc. And never stop improving it.

And ones who take data for granted and just live in total ignorance. Which eventually leads to stagnated growth, and a lot of times bankruptcy.

You don’t want to be one of them.

Data is a cheat-code that you can use to know exactly what to improve.

Whether it’s your website’s traffic, newsletter sign-ups, product orders, there’s data everywhere!

Available for you to study, apply changes, and see the difference.

And if you don’t take advantage of data, you are running your business blindfolded.

Data is key to see the value of your work.

For many of us it is hard to imagine how much data a 7-figure company would have, but the same idea applies to every business.

Let’s use a copywriting example: When I’m looking for new clients, I keep track of the following metrics: Outreach method, outreaches sent, open rate, reply rate, follow-ups sent, and total sign-up ratio.

Which I track on my excel sheet. And with constant updates, I can see the quality of each outreach method.

Once I have done X number of outreaches, made changes, and once again sent them to X number of businesses, I’m able to see whether it generated positive results.

Which eventually allows me to get more clients, more gigs, and grow my business.

None of this is possible if you do not track your data.

And every business can and must do to not only keep the business afloat but build it as magnificent as Titanic. (Which ironically drowned anyways, but that’s not the point.)

Once you have collected your data, you can move on to the next stage, which is…

STEP 1: Identify Your Goals

In any business you can have endless goals to work towards.

But that is not the way how to do it.

By setting too many priorities, confusing themselves, burning out, and so on forever.

When you focus on way too many things, you are making insignificant steps in each.

Simple, right? Everyone knows it.

But they still want to do everything, everywhere.

Instead, the CEO recommends setting your focus to one goal and work towards it until you succeed.

Once achieved, it’s time to move on to the next one.

One-by-one, not all-at-once.

STEP 2: Set a Deadline

Create a deadline for your goals. It could be 3,6,12 months in the future.

Which is a sweet spot, because humans struggle to look too far in the future.

Think about it: 5 Years ago, would you ever imagine that you will be right where you are now? Most likely no.

But when it comes to next 3–6 months, we can be pretty accurate.

It’s more realistic.

After you have done that, let’s move on to the fun part!

Step 3: Set 3–5 goals for the Chosen Deadline

Here you got to ask yourself, “Which are the 3–5 most important goals that I can achieve in the next 3,6, or 12 months?”

If you are new and don’t know where to begin, some common goals are:

  • More Sales

  • More Clients

  • More Subscribers

  • New Location

  • Better Product

Once you have your goals, define them in detail. For example, if you want more sales — write down certain numbers “200% increase!”.

Now that you got your details, we can move on.

Step 4: Strategize and Plan

Great! Now you know the destination, and all you got to do now is choose the vehicle that will take you there.

To do it, the CEO recommends dividing goals in smaller tasks.

For example — Your goal is to get 200% increase in Sales. And you want to do it in the next 12 months. To do that you set yourself a set of small tasks. You begin working on them one-by-one.

You choose to focus on improving your sales funnel, then, once that is finished, you work on your sales team, after that goes pricing, and you keep on ticking out the boxes until you get your desired “200% increase in sales.”

Simple enough?

Now divide every small goal, into tiny steps.

So, for you to improve your sales funnel, you got to collect data about the existing one, to exactly know where you need to improve it.

Maybe it’s the lead magnet, or the headline, lack of testimonials, or you don’t have an upsell, or whatever else. You can see a list of improvements.

Write it all down.

As it already is the first step towards action.

Plus, you’re not a robot and you cannot remember all of it.

So in the end you will have plenty of tiny steps that will take you to big goals!

If you tick out the boxes, you will get your dream.

If you don’t, you know exactly where you stopped.

Step 5: Accountability

All this planning is useless if you don’t hold yourself accountable.

Which sometimes can be difficult, but there are simple solutions that keep even the biggest procrastinators on top of their game.

These are personal mantras that I’ve taken from the New-York’s Bestselling books: Atomic Habit by James Clear (over 20 million books sold) and Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki (35 Million books sold)

  • Find your true why? — A lambo or penthouse can be a good motivator for the short term, but to make long-lasting change in your dedication, you must think deeper. Think about factors that keep you up at night. It could be freedom, security, ability to provide or all the above.

  • Start Small — Don’t expect to put in 12-hour workdays right from the start. It will not happen. You will burn out and stay sad. Begin with few minutes a day and keep the consistency until you naturally gravitate towards more. Just as in gym, you don’t go for 100kg bench-press, you begin with just 10kg, or even just a barbell.

This one is the most obvious but underrated tip.

  • Set a To-Do List — Write down your daily, weekly or if you’re a true gangster, both to-do lists, so you always know what to do next. When it comes to daily to-do lists, I find it extremely powerful to plan it the previous night, so you wake up in the morning with a clear objective.

By already applying these 3 simple practices, you will significantly increase the likelihood of staying accountable to your goals.

Conclusions

To achieve your goals, It’s important to track available data. It’s not always numbers on the screen, any information that gives you a broader understanding of the problem could be called data.

Once you have that, you got to set clear goals. Don’t go over the board with the amount. And make sure to focus on one at a time.

List the tasks that you need to complete to achieve your goal, and work towards it.

Remember to keep yourself accountable, either by being an absolute baller, or using the provided methods.

Hopefully this information given by a multi-million-dollar agency CEO will be valuable and will take you one, two, or hundred steps closer to your goals.

You got the recipe, but now it’s time to bake the cake.

So, go out there and bake the most magnificent business wedding cake.

I believe in you.
